The standard every patient deserves — not just the complex ones
Three board-certified doctors. One unwavering commitment.
Choosing an orthodontist means trusting someone with more than your smile. It means trusting them with your child’s development, your long-term health, and decisions that will shape how you feel for years to come. At Doyle Orthodontics, that responsibility is something we take seriously for every patient who walks through our doors — whether they’re here for early interceptive treatment, clear aligners, traditional braces, or a complex surgical case that other practices have already turned away.
What separates us from most orthodontic offices in the Pittsburgh area isn’t one thing. It’s the combination: three American Board of Orthodontics–certified doctors, advanced diagnostic technology used as a standard of care rather than an upgrade, and the clinical depth to handle cases most orthodontists would refer out. Dr. Cullen Doyle leads the practice today, joined by Drs. Bob and Ron Good — who built this reputation over decades and remain actively involved in patient care and, along with Dr. Doyle, training the next generation of orthodontists as clinical faculty at Seton Hill University’s residency program.
Board certification through the ABO is a voluntary credential that fewer than one in three practicing orthodontists pursue. It requires demonstrating mastery across a range of complex cases, evaluated by peers. All three of our doctors have met that standard — and continue to teach it.
We see what others miss — because we look more closely
CBCT imaging for every patient, from day one
Most orthodontic practices rely on traditional two-dimensional X-rays to plan treatment. At Doyle Orthodontics, we use cone beam CT (CBCT) imaging for every patient from the start of care — not as an add-on for complicated cases, but as our baseline. CBCT gives us a three-dimensional view of your teeth, jawbone, airway, and surrounding structures that a standard X-ray simply cannot provide. It means we’re planning your treatment — or your child’s treatment — based on a complete and accurate picture, not an approximation.
That diagnostic depth matters more than most patients realize. It allows us to identify concerns that would otherwise go undetected, coordinate more precisely with other specialists when multidisciplinary care is involved, and build a treatment plan that accounts for your full anatomy rather than just what’s visible on the surface.
It also means we’re equipped for the cases that require it. Orthognathic surgery coordination, TMD and TMJ therapy, airway-focused orthodontics, complex restorative cases — these aren’t services we offer in name only. They’re services we deliver, in-house, because our team and our technology are built for them. For patients who have been told their case is too complicated or who have struggled to find a practice that can manage everything in one place, that matters.
This practice has deep roots in the Pittsburgh community. The name on the door has changed, but the standard of care hasn’t. If you’re looking for an orthodontist your family can trust for the long term — one that other specialists refer to when cases get difficult — you’ve found the right place.
